Web30 mei 2024 · I cleaned the magnet and re-filled the diff with Honda Dual Pump II fluid (took almost 1.5 quarts). This process was VERY easy, simply drain then refill. Hard to believe it's $80 + bucks to have it done at a dealer. Material for me (bought 2 quarts of fluid and 2 crush washers) was about $28. Amazon has it for less. The manual advises that a drain and refill should take 3.9 quarts for the FWD model and 4.5 quarts for the AWD model. The one I was working on was a FWD model. I drained the fluid after a 40 mile highway drive, so the fluid was very hot.

It only took 2.5 quarts of the Honda HCF-2 CVT fluid to get the overflow from the Check Bolt hole. Shifted through all the gears, and refilled to get the Check Bolt overflow, but was only 2.5 quarts. Vehicle was on flat surface. The owners manual says it takes 3.9 quarts.
